The Visual Factory is a space for reflection and responsibility in photography and journalism: it's a cultural association, an academy, and a community built on the belief that on-the-ground reporting still matters and makes a difference.

We explore photography with some of the world’s leading visual storytellers and key figures in the industry, delving into journalism in all its dimensions, its causes, its consequences, and its impact on the world.

Together with some of the most recognized contemporary photojournalists alongside key industry figures, we explore visual storytelling and journalism in all their dimensions and responsibilities. Our educational programs are based at The Factory in Turin, where most of the masterclasses take place, and are designed to inspire photographers at every stage, from those taking their first steps to experienced professionals, helping them sharpen their authorial vision and navigate today’s rapidly evolving editorial landscape. Selected programs are also developed for an international audience, with sessions and workshops hosted in different cities across Europe and beyond.
